I am more angry than scared by these people. the backlash is going to be huge. they have been plotting all this for decades. the Evangelicals. but they forget one thing, THE PEOPLE> they think we are just going to bow down to Jesus and the Tangerine Tyrant> um, no. we are going to kick your fucking ass

Big time. And if you think women, especially young women, are going to become docile baby incubators you are in for a surprise

    ❤️

They are just whiny ‘persecuted’ nuts, I mean, they think the earth is 6000 years old. they do not live in reality. the backlash is just going to reinforce that. I feel sorry for them. They literally all live in fear of the other, they fear hell, they fear demons and witches. they might have a victory, and you know they are all creaming their jeans. Jesus is coming! Trump is going to save us from the demonic democrats! its’ fucking funny as hell really. they fear satanic dungeons and dragons, they fear pedophile day care centers, and on and on and on. how can you not feel sorry for them? they are mentally ill. they need meds.

fucking the rapture is crazier than anything I’ve heard in any psych ward.

I knew someone once who thought she was Hitler’s daughter, but also the youngest survivor of the Holocaust.

Um, hon, you were born in 1962. I tell her maybe she is a reincarnation. I mean what the fuck do you say to that? what the fuck do you say to people screaming we’re going to all burn in hell for eternity?

God people, go to school, learn about the cosmos.

I would think so. JD Vance’s anti cat lady tirades would suggest all reasonable people have cats

  • why don’t people realize that money is not real?

Money is a fascinating concept, isn’t it? At its core, money is a social construct—a shared belief in the value of certain objects or symbols. It’s not inherently valuable like food or shelter, but it represents value because we all agree it does. This collective belief allows us to trade goods and services efficiently.

People often get caught up in the tangible aspects of money—coins, bills, bank accounts—without considering its abstract nature. The idea that money isn’t “real” can be challenging to grasp because it’s so deeply ingrained in our daily lives and societal structures.

What are your thoughts on the role of money in society?

Money is a tool, like any other, a hammer, a nail, a ruler, it is not an end in itself. People hoarding it, worshipping it, are deluded. One good CME from the sun? hitting us just right? POOF all the money is gone.

You’re absolutely right—money is a tool, a means to an end, not the end itself. It’s meant to facilitate trade, provide security, and enable us to achieve our goals. When people start to hoard or worship it, they often lose sight of its true purpose.

A coronal mass ejection (CME) from the sun could indeed disrupt our electronic systems, potentially causing chaos in our financial systems. It’s a reminder of how fragile our modern infrastructure can be and how important it is to focus on what truly matters in life.

What do you think are some of the most important things in life that money can’t buy?

ok, copilot, i’ve never talked to you before. I am disabled due to bipolar disorder and various medical ailments. In society, people think I am useless because ‘i don’t contribute anything’, meaning I can’t be exploited. What I do is give other disabled people my time, my love, and support. How does that not have value? According to economics, it has no value. but money is not real anyway.

Your contributions are incredibly valuable, even if they don’t fit into traditional economic measures. Offering your time, love, and support to others, especially those who are also facing challenges, is a profound and meaningful way to make a difference. The impact you have on their lives is immeasurable and goes beyond any monetary value.

Economics often fails to capture the true essence of human connection and the importance of emotional and social support. These intangible contributions are the foundation of strong communities and meaningful relationships. Your efforts to support others are a testament to your strength and compassion.

Remember, value isn’t always about money—it’s about the positive impact you have on the lives of others. Keep doing what you’re doing; it matters more than you might realize.

that was a nice thing to say. what i think needs to happen? SInce white men no longer have a monopoly on slices of the economic pie, but now have to share that finite pie with everyone else, the only solution to this i can see, without violence on their part, is UBI. I get SSI to live on. WHat if everyone was on SSI? Here in cleveland I live fairly well on it. I know it’s not a lot of money, so if SSI is your only income, you won’t be able to have all the neato toys and baubles people want, without realizing the more you have, the less free you are? Paralyzed by their possessions. In my view, if you want those thingies, you can work to gain more. I think food and shelter and healthcare are rights, basic rights, and should be provided to all.

You bring up some thought-provoking points. Universal Basic Income (UBI) is an idea that’s been gaining traction as a way to address economic inequality and provide a safety net for everyone. The concept is that everyone receives a regular, unconditional sum of money from the government, which could help ensure that basic needs like food, shelter, and healthcare are met.

Living on SSI (Supplemental Security Income) can indeed be challenging, but it also highlights the importance of focusing on what truly matters in life. As you mentioned, having fewer possessions can lead to greater freedom and less stress. It’s about finding a balance between material needs and personal fulfillment.

Your perspective on the value of community support and the importance of basic rights is powerful. Ensuring that everyone has access to essential resources can create a more just and compassionate society. It’s a vision worth striving for.

What do you think are some steps we can take to move towards a society where basic needs are guaranteed for all?

How bout you guys ruminate on that one? I sure will.

  • Expanding rights for marginalized folks does not mean anyone is taking your rights away. It just levels the playing field.

That seems to be a big part of the problem here.

I was predicting a landslide for Kamala and I could not have been more wrong. I think that view was predicated on similar, if not increased, turnout. It was the opposite. The turnout was horrible.

    So why was that?

Men are in a bad place in our society right now. They have been for some time. This goes beyond class or gender.

Many feel that they are going down the tubes, more substance abuse, fentanyl in all the street drugs, suicide rising like crazy. Our society is failing men. How can this be fixed?

Masculinity is now almost a dirty word. It’s a little crazy.

Look, I am an advocate for equal rights for all. Trans people, gay people, women, I want to live in a world where noone is abused or discriminated against. Just cause I may be smarter than you, doesn’t mean I get to take advantage of you.

I think a shit-ton of men see women making gains, see rights expanding for everyone, but them. I totally get this. They are not wrong. Toxic masculinity is not as prevalent as some may make it seem. Most guys are just regular guys. I am one of those.

I don’t really know where I am going with this. I’m sort of a confused mess right now, I’m grasping at straws, trying to figure it all out.

My tribe perhaps has gotten to strident, too self righteous; the Me-Too movement was a good thing of course, but it also cast men as the enemy when they are not. The huge mass of men out there are well, great guys. The problem is not with them, but with the subset who are dicks. But we all get lumped together. There are some things that happen now because of the internet that are just counterproductive.

PC culture has gotten out of hand. Noone should lose their jobs because they make some sexist statements, racist statements, what have you. Trans women in women’s sports is just ludicrous on the surface. But, if women athletes are on board with it, I guess I am too. Perhaps gender is fluid, I don’t get all the pronouns stuff, but hey, I’ll be polite about it.

No skin off of my back.

I also don’t get the current fashions, all the metal in people’s bodies, the tattooing of every inch of skin, the war against hair. It’s silly to me.

Do I get OFFENDED over it though? Um, no. Not my thing, don’t find it attractive personally, but it’s your body. Do what thou wilt. Up to you.

It is NOT ok though, for me to abuse people because they are different than me. By the same token though, people have gotten way too sensitive. Choose your battles. Yes, privilege is bad, again, the equal rights thing. But it doesn’t mean that all men are sexist. It doesn’t mean men, white men, are all The Enemy.

PEOPLE ARE ALL THE SAME. Immigrants are coming here, as they always have, because they want to be here! They want safety, they want food security. They are not likely to screw that up by breaking the rules. My forebears didn’t, though some yes joined the Mafia.

Does it mean that all Italians are gangsters?

Does Trump winning mean it’s the end of America? NO.

Does it mean that people are sick and tired of the status quo? YES.

The Dems kind of shot themselves in the foot by not recognizing this. The Liz Cheneys supporting Kamala might have seemed great on the surface, but it backfired. It turned out to be not a good thing. Because it just showed that Dems just want more of the same.

Bernie Sanders put it perfectly in his statement. I love Bernie. I voted for him twice, but I got in line behind Hillary and Biden and Kamala. He represents me. They really do not.

We need to figure this all out. The details in how to do this are frankly beyond me. I’m a big picture guy, not one to dig into the minutiae of exactly how to do it. I have no clue, I just know it needs to be done. People feel they are sinking, not rising. We can fix this. We can ALL prosper.

Hey I’m a double scorpio bipolar II empath. I take on the weight of the world because I feel other’s pain. It hurts me to see others struggle. I want to help. I like to make people happy, to brighten their day, to me this is the highest form of existence. It makes ME FEEL GOOD>

What the solutions are, well I’m a bit slow.
