The Perfect Machine

It is not looking good as I write this at um…3:12am on November 6th.

It turned out much much closer than I expected, at the moment no winner has been announced, but trump is just a few more votes away. They are sure celebrating.

My thoughts?

Maybe it was the wrong strategy to hammer the ‘democracy is under threat and we are going to have a dictatorship if we don’t win’ message so much. Cause honestly, I think that is hysteria. I feared it would blow up, and It looks like I was right. I had faith in the innate goodness of americans, but we have made the wrong choice.

Ah well. C’est la vie! Don’t mean to sound flippant, this is not good, but it is not the end of the America. Relax. Don’t blow a gasket, Don’t panic,

and my god, don’t prove the righties correct about us liberals. Maybe we have gone too far in the culture wars. In their eyes, we are promoting ‘perversion’ and forcing it down their throats. I get that.

BUT…go ahead and be repulsed if you must, the whole entire point of it all is equal rights, you can’t abuse or discriminate against ANYONE> you can feel and think whatever you like, but expect some pushback if you are a dick in public.

All I can do at this point is what I can do. Try and speak the truth as I see it.

Live my life and try and be an example for others. Lead that way.

We shall see what the future brings. This is a major disappointment but not the end of America. At least not yet. They are probably going to win control of the entire government. It looks that way. They will attempt to ram through their frankly religious agenda. They will try and undo everything Biden has accomplished. We shall see if they succeed, no one can know what the future will be.

I am sad. I am not going to wallow in despair over this though. I can’t. It might kill me. Despair can kill me.

I just took my O2 readings, 97%, and my pulse is at a speedy 106. I just took soma Gaba to try and get that down a bit.

I’ll tell you what I am going to do. I am not going to give in to hate myself when the other side seems to just delight in it. It’s their souls that are at risk. I am going to sleep well at night, I am going to continue to be a good friend and a good father.
